The Japanese government has launched a brand new law: because of the laziness and apathy of Japan's people it was decided that someone, daily and randomly, will be chosen and killed with a poisoned capsule in order to "bring to life again" and wake up the others.
The person elected will be warned with an ikigami (or death notice) and after this he/she will have only 24 hours left to live.
What will those condemned think and do during this short time?
What a read, genuinely one of the best comics I have read, IT has a phenomenal ending and the story getting there was great. Throughout the story it had little bits and pieces of the world at large from the tv broadcasts, but halfway through they really tell you about the world, adding to the intensity of the read. Absolutely one of the best comics ever, no doubt about it. That said, I will probably never reread it because of how sad many of the stories were, but I also will never forget it.
This manga is ~an episodic story of a bunch of people who live their life out with the knowledge they gon' die in their last day and
basically an introspective query of how people spend their last hours alive and what matters to them.
If you're looking for the purge, wrong place. It ain't a horror thriller like you'd expect from the cover art.
It's closer to a feel good emotional like Three Days of Happiness.
It's nothing like Heads, just a Heads up.
